About: Sprintex superchargers twin-screw design was first developed in the United Kingdom some time in the early 1980’s. Their inspiration came from an expired patent of the Lysholm screw compressor designed by Alf Lysholm. At the time Sprintex’s new blower set new standards in parasitic loses, rotor leakage and thermal efficiency. The draw back was the manufacturing complexity and cost. Sprintex, along with several companies, continued to develop and perfect the design while manufacturing processes caught up. Today Sprintex is an Australian company that that offers a range of blower units and kits.
